yes this. I've kept cabbage in my fridge for 3 weeks without it going bad; carrots and celery last until I finally use them up. If your veg is going bad in less than a week it might be a storage problem, but don't discount the buying factor. If it's universal across all types of vegetables - peppers, carrots, leafy greens, root veg, etc - it might be your fridge, if it's one or two types consistently but other types seem to be fine, it might be the grocery store supplier.
