The movie was pretty, but once I read the book there was no looking back. At least movie!howl's reaction to the hair dye incident felt the same as the book, but the rest...meeh. What's with the Howl turning into a monster thing? And a kiss fixes everything? Barf!

Agree. I enjoyed the movie well enough, but the book is far superior in terms of characterisation and story-telling. Also, Howl is Welsh. That was just *chef's kiss*
