Damn, that's unfortunate. Lots of my fandoms are old, so I'd be really out of luck.

I'm trying to think if I even ship any pairings where any of the actors are dead... I mean, I have some but not any I've ever cared to read fic for (like Han/Leia). When it comes to live action media, I mostly didn't ship anything prior to the mid-90s.
