Largely uneventful except that during work a ticket came in about a feature on the site being broken - and it turns out it was broken because one of my coworkers had renamed a php file "that I thought was irrelevant, just to see if anything broke". -_- Very easy fix obviously, but you'd think this guy would know better.

Hopefully without tempting fate so I walk into a pole after typing that.

Got vet's permission to drop cats off in the morning before their respective appointments, so I can walk from work on my lunch for both of those. Idk if I'll have to take some leave time after to walk them home, or if my boss is cool with my leaving them in the break room in carriers the rest of the day.

Star Trek TNG: Genfic, tv suitable adventure, no romance or whump. No scriptfic/first person/present tense. Same for Star Wars: Rebels or ANH-TRotJ era.

I would totally read this dream TNG fic. I'd add in that it has some cool sci-fi premise, like something out of a short story anthology from the 50s-70s, but with Star Trek characters/ships/tech/etc.

My dream fic... I can hardly even start to think about it because I'm literally one of two people to have written fic for my favorite movie. If it's not by me, it was probably written FOR me by a friend.

Boringly gen, but I really want crossover fic about characters who are sidekicks to eccentric geniuses, all getting together to commiserate about their associated main characters.

In my head, some of the characters are Watson (possibly several incarnations from different adaptations), Archie Goodwin from Nero Wolfe, Peter Bishop (and/or Astrid) from Fringe, Dani Reese from Life.

Long multi-chapter plotty action-adventure story with my OTP, with the two obviously in a relationship, but focus more on the adventure and plot. Snark and power imbalance intermixed with genuine friendship and loyalty. Loads of psychological trauma, leading to dysfunctional hurt/comfort because they have Issues, but care deep down. Both of them getting a chance to be a total badass. Ideally, some manner of intended self-sacrifice by one of them for the other, and all the "you fool, what did you do that for (<3 <3)" aftermath. Icing on the cake: references and tie-ins to the other Ivalice games.

...Since Vagrant Story is a small and mostly dead fandom, I, er, basically just described my own fic because I write what I want to see when no one else is writing it. *shrug* But I am incredibly grateful for the occasional piece that is not super long or plotty, but gives me more content to devour. (Currently really looking forward to the one other person who writes these two finishing the current WIP because it sure looks like it's going to have lots of the stuff I like about the character dynamics even though it's not likely to be super long. :D)

oh I'm sure no one can find it for me, I've whipped the filter tags function on AO3 into submission.

I just want monsterfucking fic that isn't written by a 14 year old boy whose only experience in sex is reading a lot of hentai manga about orcs and cervix penetration. The real dream is a lengthy monsterfucking pwp, dubcon to consensual, demons or dragons or something like that, with no use of the words twat, jizz, or "breed me daddy" in any context at all and extremely little description of the female characters' breasts.

A long, plotty, erudite, well-written fic about a hot, cheerful archaeology grad student investigating ancient ruins (and the mysteries, and the extremely hot vampire, connected to them) through the course of one hot, cloudy, perfect country summer

Action/adventure with everyone in character. Something properly exciting. Slow burn but where the romance isn't the main focus.

Hehe. Other than that, seems okay. I'm about 60% of the way through the first Fire & Blood, so it'll interesting to see how it connects to the series. Unfortunately, I'm told it's based on the second part, which doesn't appear to be anywhere close to being released. Fortunately, fucking D&D aren't involved this time.

LOL. I don't think HBO was great at any color wigs, but the white wigs look extra bad. I'm still kind of curious about this, though.
