It’s an unreasonable request, because the fandom A fic is 40 chapters.

Have you never had a friend or family member who only had unrealistic and expensive items on their wishlist? Because there totally is fic equivalents for that.

No one made OP write the fandom A fic or offer to write a birthday gift fic, or even said it had to be an exact rewrite, either. Also, if that were the key part of the issue, probably should have been in the secret, don't you think?
