I think the slowness and awkwardness is kind of the point, no? It makes it a very soothing, gentle watch, as opposed to most gameshows featuring comedians which tend to be a lot more boisterous and energetic.

Nah, I love Alan and I think he’s great on QI. He manages to give wrong answers and make it entertaining.

I was really complaining about people on House of Games who just seem really clueless throughout. And it’s not a show where that’s set up to be funny, so it’s just awkward and boring.

It was weird, with some odd new rounds, but all four contestants were solid and came across as reasonably bright. Which is not my usual experience of the line-ups.
