Unfortunately knowing the fandom, whether any of it's actually good is the question. Rarepairs tend to be background tagged ships in multichapter AU longfic from what I've seen.

As the anon above your comment, yuuuuup. It's annoying. Or it's part of a multiship thing with each chapter being a different ship for a character

Yeah, I looked closer at the fics now and it turns out that in a lot of them they're just tagged as background pairs :( I think I understand now, it might be a smaller ship but there's no one else to pair them with. Meanwhile my rare pairs in other series tend to contradict the main pairing of the fandoms so they don't show up as background pairings ever.

(There's still a lot more fic of Amaguji as a main pairing than I expected, though.)
