They did that on great british menu too, randomly sabotaging things like freezers so that they'd always be scrambling at the last minute to chill things in a hurry and serve stuff to the judges that wasn't quite right just so they had something to bitch about. Something other than under/over seasoned; which is something that they fall back on when the chefs manage to pull it off anyway, which they obviously just do because they have to bitch about something and there is no way a viewer can write a sharp letter about how they are talking bollocks as there is no way to visually spot the fakery when it comes to seasoning.

It's silly, because what else did I expect, but this seriously sours me on Great British Menu.

I liked the lack of competitive atmosphere and the overall professionalism. But I should know better than to expect producers to support fairness over drama.
