Agreed so much about 152! Gosh, my friend is one of the most annoying elitists when it comes to Pokemon - in her mind, the first and second gen are THE BEST and if you've never played them/don't worship them the most, you're not a true fan and not worth talking to, basically.
Yeah, first and second are huge nostalgia trips for me, but I still think the new ones are good and are adding a lot to the franchise. I still like first gen the best (though that may also be some bias of loving the earlier seasons of the show leaking in there), but the others are still great (and like you said, gameplay wise they're much better).
