I don't agree with the OP one bit, and I do think you're largely right here. But I also think for Britney Spears the situation is complicated by the fact that she may not reach out for help when she needs it because she may not trust anyone. Between the very legitimate fear that anyone she trusts might sell painful and embarrassing details of her personal life to the tabloids on the sly, to the also very legitimate fear than anyone she trusts could potentially be looking for "evidence" to use to get her freedoms taken away again (which is something I know I'd be terrified of, completely regardless of whether it was likely to happen or not), it just seems like despite her having the resources to get whatever help she needs, she may not be in the best place to actually ask for or accept that help. Does that mean said "help" should be forced on her? Fuck no! It just seems like, for a free person who theoretically has a lot of power (mainly in the form of money), she's still facing a pretty hard path to walk going forward.

I'm not actually trying to catastrophize, though. Hopefully she has genuinely supportive and trustworthy people in her life, and she gets whatever help she needs if she needs it, and deals with all the bullshit like the seasoned pro she is, and all my concerns turn out to be for nothing.
