Yesterday I was talking to a fellow fan of the UK Being Human tv show, and I did bring up the option of hosting a group stream of the show for the folks here on F!S. I was waiting for a reply, but welp today secret post posted. If you guys are interested in a group watch of the show, I'd be more than happy to organize and stream it on discord for y'all.

Also, if you're fan of the supernatural and/or werewolves, I'd be happy to invite you to my server as well.

Wasn't stuff like the Matrix, She's All That, and other stuff that came out in the 90s/early aughts (hell, maybe some 80s stuff too) not Gen X? Freddy & all those horror franchises.

Music. Rock from that time (across subgenres), Hip Hop from that time -- I mean Biggie and Tupac were Gen-X. As a millennial, I feel like I grew up with as much cultural influences from the boomers as I did gen-x. I definitely feel like I aspired to some gen-x aesthetic & lifestyle as a kid watching movies and shows.

80s nostalgia is still going strong and that's more gen x than even older millennial, because the xers were teens at the time and millenials were children or not even born yet

It may be satire, but does it still adhere strongly to some of the more annoying tropes of danmei? I mean like sometimes misogynistic portrayals of women, gender essentialist stuff, seme/uke dynamics, etc.?

I'm interested in this story, and I'm not expecting it to be perfectly free of anything that might be problematic/annoying to me, but I'm wondering both how much is in there, and if being a satirical story means that there'd be less of it than in a story that plays its tropes straight.
