Me too, though in my defense English is not my first language and I don't have a good ear for accents. But I really thought he sounded black.

Uh, some people sound black, or asian, or white, or native-american, or hispanic, because people grow up in cultures that use certain vernacular and sometimes a sort of "accent" or register to go with it.

It doesn't apply to every person ever, but it's a thing. Maybe the guy in question grew up with black friends in a black neighborhood and his speech pattern reflects that.

There’s nothing about his speech patterns, accent or vernacular that would suggest what you’re saying. What are you even talking about?

And this is coming from someone who thought he might be black as well. But only because his voice reminded me of another YouTuber who is black(Pringle the Original is his handle I think. I don’t know why Dunkey’s voice reminds me of his).

I'm not a fan of any youtubers, so I don't know or care what this particular guy sounds like.

English is my first language, but I'm not American, and I agree. He sounded like an African-American guy. I guess there's a lot of overlap between whatever his accent/vocab is and African-American vernacular, at least to non-Americans!

I honestly dont know what I thought he looked like, but the first time I saw his face I was really surprised. His voice does not match his face at all.
