For me this pairing was a perfect example of Monkey's Paw. If the books ever come out, I'd rather see them dead by Lady Stoneheart than end up together like this.

Well, I'm guessing the outcome will be neither and will have more thought put into it. I hope it makes sense even if the ending is bittersweet as GRRM has said.
