Your points are decent in general. And some are even really good, even though they weren’t relevant to this secret. But your absolute confidence that you were right, to the point of saying “I don’t agree” when another anon rightfully pointed out that it was very unlikely it came down to attraction in this specific way case, was a bit unfounded.

Anon was correct that the lack of comments from the OP in the secret that had to do with being attracted to these characters was a big indicator that it wasn’t about that. You did throw in a “we’ll see when OP responds later” at the end just in case you were wrong(which you were).

I think the topics you brought up are genuinely good food for thought for another discussion, especially a more relevant one. But it’s honestly a bit reductive to immediately jump to “you just want to bang these characters” whenever a topic has nothing to do with attraction. It can be true sometimes, but it’s not a guarantee, and shouldn’t always be an assumption.

Also da but sometimes it's literally just as simple as "I like this character type in male characters but not in female characters" or vice versa. For instance, I really like kind, soft, nurturing male characters, but I find those traits extremely boring in female characters because they're so overdone and it's just sort of expected that female characters will be that way. If you genderswap a soft guy and make him a soft girl, my interest goes right out the window.

similarly i can't abide the "damaged dark bad boy with a heart of gold" thing with male characters but i have a huge weakness for it with female characters
