I haven’t been in FS for that long, and I’m so lost! Who or what is Tar Season anon?? Does anyone even get Secret 7 with the Buzzfeed Unsolved Baby Sticks?

Tar Season Anon is the submitter of several super weird, whimsical and completely nonsensical secrets that first turned up in the early 2010s. I want to say like, 2013 maybe? I think there was one about Thor and one about Chris Evans, saying they were really hoping they could visit their town, but the roads would soon be impassable because it was 'tar season'. Another one talked about 'the field fires of my youth'. No one had a fucking clue what they were on about. The secrets were harmless, but so WTF that we eventually theorised that Tar Season Anon inhabited a parallel universe that had briefly crossed over with our own before disappearing forever.

Tar Season Anon never showed up in comments, and it was guesswork to figure out which of the secrets were canon to them (it spawned quite a few copycats, although none of them quite captured the essence). I think the consensus is about 2 or 3 were definitely them, but it's hard to tell. This one does have the right amount of whimsy and complete WTF, though.

I don't have the link to the Tar Season secrets, but I'm sure someone else around here will.

Lol I get why you guys think this secret might be the same anon now, because those are just as delightfully strange as this one!

Thanks for filling me in!
