LJ barely functions anymore and NO ONE uses it so FS would be just as small if not completely dead due to the fact that you can't put up or read fucking posts half the time because Russian shitheads have DDOSed the site but go off igss

This anon will whine about this anytime they get the opportunity. As well as insult Case for “not listening to people” before moving from LJ to DW.

I also suspect they’re the same anon who said the ip logging was a “nannybot”, that the days when trolling in the comm was more omnipresent were great, and that everyone is “too sensitive” to know what a true troll is anymore.

I mean, we do have named users who claim that they’re being attacked by their own personal troll any time someone disagrees with them, but that’s not case’s fault or ip-logging’s fault. It’s just easier than accepting that you said a dumb thing out loud and people noticed.

You’re right about that, I’ve seen that happen. And there is a genuine conversation to be had about accusing anyone who disagrees with someone a troll. Also, it’s obviously a more noticeable trend with some named users than with assorted anonymous people.

But the whinging of the LJ Supremacy anon is another matter. Because they want all the trolls back, including the “kys” types, because they’ve stated they believe community was better then. (Im paraphrasing a bit, because I’d have to look a few weeks back to find their exact comment, but these were definitely some of their weird and edgy opinions.)

I’m cautious about letting people know I visit here because of how oversensitive fandom is now and the bad reputation anonymous communities have in general from those who have never used them.
I used to post on 4chan’s /m/ board years ago because being a teenage female in mecha fandom wasn’t easy back then so it was a way for me to still interact and avoid harassment, not because I wanted to be a troll etc

I've been vagueposted on a different social media website by a former friend, and didn't like it.

I was vagueposted about on FB in a group that we both were in but I don't think the poster realized that. It suuuucked. They were specific enough in the details of an event that it could only have been me.

They seem to have forgotten that incident entirely and are now casually friendly in a different group (the same one where the incident that was vagueposted about happened).

Yeah, I still have a few friends who used to frequent F!S during its LJ days/early DW days. I purposely don't tell them that I come here still (always anon) in fears that they still come on here too or that they will start to come back and somehow be able to recognize me on here via my secrets or anon comments. LOL I think I'd stay quiet if any of them were to bring it up to me.
