i had no idea this was a thing and googling it led me down a fascinating rabbit hole, so thanks for that


but just from what i can see surface level... yea, it seems it breeds some pretty silly attitudes. i thought trying to calculate the exact properties of [fictional thing] was recognised as ultimate nerdom! that's the fun in it!
