Ever throw anything out that you regret?

Discuss!

Bonus points if you found it again years later.

i threw out a lot of "basic" boring clothing and now i've signed up with an agency for extras and regret it so much! i need basic looks, too much black or red are frowned upon and that's basically my wardrobe TT

As a long-time BG extra, the struggle is so fucking real. I literally have a whole second (small) wardrobe that's just bland-ass clothes for work. I would get rid of all of them in a hot second if I quit BG. All the clothes I actually like are either no good for BG work, or are too easily damaged. No way in hell am I bringing anything silk to work; shit's chaotic, and delicate stuff will get damaged.

Several pieces of clothing.
One was a leather zip-up tank top that I finally threw out because I never wore it. I was cursing myself when I had a cosplay that needed a leather zip-up tank top. I had to make it from scratch. Much work and difficulties for not as nice a top.

The other couple were things like some a high school club t-shirts and a Big Dog Lord of the Rings sweatshirt because I figured I was a grown up and didn't need such childish clothes. I wish I still had them for the memories. I don't mind if I look childish or dated now.

Ahhhhh, I still have a Big Dog Lord of the Rings t-shirt I wear as pajamas! Sorry for your loss, OP, but how weirdly coincidental.

I threw out a pair of Native American made boots.
Wish I could have had them repaired. Nice brown color too.

I'm sure there's one thing I did regret, but obviously it wasn't important enough to actually remember!

Yeah, but my natural inclination is to hoarding, so I mostly just have to get over it unless I want to die entombed in piles of useless junk.

my wedding dress. when I left my former apartment, I didn't have room in my car for the dress and I was unwilling to come back and see her again so my ex-wife asked what she was supposed to do with it and I said I didn't care (because at the time I didn't). then a few weeks later, I was in goodwill with my mother and we found my dress but we couldn't afford to buy it back and when my dad came with the money the next week it was gone. so I'm crushed about it now even though it was all my own damn fault. seeing my cousin get married in a very similar gown this past week made me really nostalgic for my own wedding and I mourned the dress again very much.
