Major same. I think only one of my fandoms has a fic that is widely considered to be The Best Fic. But most of my fandoms have two or three fics that are beloved and revered on a special level, and those fics are usually phenomenal, in my opinion. (I also avoid sad-ending fics like the plague.)

Yup! There are several in my fandoms that share the spot, and it's changed a little over the years, but it's still good to have them.
