Two and a half things:

1 -- you're probably already aware of things like this happening to comms all over LJ. If you notice this happening on F!S, just pm me and I'll delete posts/report to LJ abuse/whatever.

2 -- what do you guys think about this? Maybe at the start of each new week, same time as the new submission post at 12 AM Saturday EST (that's 5 AM Saturday GMT, 1 PM Saturday GMT+8)?

.5 -- and something sort of random but what kinds of memes would you like to see on F!S?

I don't know, maybe it's just because I can't visualize a structure for number 2, but the idea sounds like a breeding ground for conversational chaos that's less about secrets and more about stoking fandom wars. Unless you're talking an actual re-post of the same page of secrets. That would work, and wouldn't be much more than a copy/paste job on your part.

I love the crossover fanworks meme, it's always the biggest cure to my writer's block!

Good luck with that hacker scenario :(

Geez, no, I hadn't heard about anything like that. :/

Yes please to the review thing. I also live in the GMT+8 zone and am never able to get in on any of the discussion.

2- not a bad idea! I've found myself making late comments due to my dial-up connection, or hoping I'd get a comment the day after a post had been made. Thumbs up.

.5 - not much for memes.

1. D: but I doubt any hackers would try to convincingly replicate your typing style ;D

2. I'd only really be in favor of it if it didn't mean that the posts when to "no comments" at the time of posting like [livejournal.com profile] ljsecret did for a while. Because seriously, commenting on hundreds of secrets at once, and so far removed from the time of posting? I don't think most people have the attention span for that lol

.5 I really like the request memes. But also "random" memes like having MSPaint conversations or something would be really fun. They had one like that over on [livejournal.com profile] sf_drama and it brought in some pretty funny results

2 is a great idea!
I also feel a little left-out due to my time-zone as of now. :/

1. Will keep an eye out for that shit.

2. Discussion post sounds awesome. :D

2.5: Rec memes, crack request memes, rule 34 memes, food memes...

2. This is a lovely idea. *Lives in GMT +5:30 and hates missing out on the fun.*

MS PAINT MEME= AWESOME IDEA.

I love memes, but I don't neccesarily think this is the place for them. As someone said earlier-I'm here for the secrets.

Maybe the timing of posts could be staggered on the days convenient for you, for the inclusion of time zone issues as well as people with scheduling conflicts. Personally, I find 5pm eastern to be pretty close to perfect, but that seems statistically unlikely for a majority of users.

.5. Anonymous concrit meme? Like, people post up samples of their writing and the gracious anons tell them how it really is, regardless of familiarity with the fandom.

I could see a lot of wank coming out of this. *rubs hands together*

2. Time-zone change would be nice.

.5 Anything to do with rare/obscure fandoms. Friending, 'where is this fandom', 'does this have fandom', 'let's collaborate', or smthng.
