I agree but I think it also goes the other way sometimes - there are some people who almost come across like they're happy about the censorship because it lets them take shots at other fans they find annoying

Yeah... I have seen more than one dumbfuck going "this is great because it means /ship they're an anti for/ won't ever be canon!". Like... go fuck yourself with a cactus if you think laws that actually suck for real people are great just because you don't like a fictional ship.
