TOTALLY agree. Especially old SF fandom zines. Incredibly fascinating and cool.

I think, in general, it's really fascinating to actually go back and look at what people were talking about, and thinking about, and cared about in the past. Because our retrospective view of history is always really narrow, and the further removed something is in time, the narrower it gets. We remember a few highlights, a few really famous things, a pastiche of styles, and that's all. And the actual reality of the past is always much wider and there's so many things that aren't representative that just fall by the wayside. It's absolutely fascinating.
