What's more, the fat depraved gay dude is blackmailed by someone, who threatens to ruin his reputation by revealing that he's gay. Also, a major plot point is about his nephew being unable to marry the protagonist, because they're both men. Yet he marries his cousin. So yeah, Dune is... very anachronistic.
