You just described the MCU in general.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
It was certainly my reaction to The Avengers, which was the beginning of the end for me and Marvel

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
It had some decent moments/elements, but definitely one of the worst MCU movies. And I cannot understand people who say that the characters are well developed. Not often that the infodump scenes are the more interesting ones.

I'm honestly kind of curious what it's like. But not enough to actually watch it, because the lesson I've learned about Marvel movies at this point is that no matter how curious I am about them or how different they seem from the outside, the actual movies are always 90% interchangeable.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Same! I am not falling for hype again, MCU is just boring shit

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
It has an ensemble cast. Is it possible they're just excited about the fanworks/fic/shipping possibilities?

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
I like that it had a diverse cast and it shot on locations and the CGI monsters were pretty instead of ugly.

It's far from the worst MCU movie (that's AoU because that movie made me actually angry) but it's in that special tier of Mediocre To Bad with IM 2/3 Thor 2, and CM.

It's not even fun to talk about, it's just boring. Nothing really stands out to pick on. I want to hear what your friends have to say in the same way I want to talk to people who enjoy exercise. Like, I'd probably have more fun in life if I were like you but what the actual fuck are you on about?

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
I enjoyed it. Quite a lot, actually.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 09:57 am (UTC)(link)
Same. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it, and didn’t feel bored, considering the reviews I had read before I saw it.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-18 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Me too. But then, I like a lot of the MCU movies that everyone else hates.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Was it better or worse than Captain Marvel, IYO?

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 10:20 am (UTC)(link)
Is that teh first time this happened to you...?

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 10:37 am (UTC)(link)
Wasn't the most boring MCU film I saw (although it might be the most nonsensical), also, they really should have cut teh cast in half - those were really unpopular comics, there's no great need to retain all the characters when there's no good way of making them essential for the plot.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Different people have different tastes, news at 11.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
IKR?

Like, this is a valid thing to make a secret about. But it doesn’t mean the answer to their questions isn’t blindingly obvious, no matter if those questions are meant to be rhetorical or not.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-17 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I mean, I'd disagree that this is a valid thing to make a secret about, frankly, but I tend to have a much narrower opinion of that than many of the people here who are just desperate to keep this community alive.
