Momo/Jirou in My Hero Academia, I saw a lot of people talking about how there was so much subtext and then I read it and went "well, I guess they're standing next to each other a couple times..."

Jirou gets defensive on Momo's behalf a couple times, which is more than she bothers to do for most people. I agree that's hardly enough to amount to "subtext," but I can definitely see it's where the ship comes from.
