Yeah. There is a great older show called The Duchess of Duke Street which handles the woman overcoming contemporary sexism in the Victorian/Edwardian age really well. And the classism too. Without having the heroine be all shocked that sexism and classism exist, she is well aware that she is going to have a super hard path if she wants to get ahead and make her fortune.
