I recently reread the Ellimist and Hork-Bajir Chronicles and they still hold up well, but they were always my favorites as a kid. I've been holding off on doing a revisit of the main series until I finish collecting them all and some of them have gotten hard to find.
I feel like, for most books I've gone back to at least, if you read them keeping in mind the time period when they were written and the target audience a lot of them are still enjoyable. (But I'm also someone who will read something even if I don't agree with all of it, so I can overlook the problematic bits and still enjoy series like Xanth, Pern, and Valdemar.)

I believe Katherine Applegate released them herself because she wanted people to be able to read them over paying exorbitant sums for old copies.
