Yeah, in the past I was kind of wary of such an idea because I knew it would wind up looking dumb, with dragons and kender and dwarves and Raistlin's gold skin. But I think the technology (and the ability of some directors to know when to go with CG and when to go with practical effects and how to blend them) might actually be at a point now where they could pull it off. Maybe. In the right hands.

I've actually been pretty happy with how actors have pulled Raistlin off in the Dragonlance musical! I do think think things like dragons would come off a bit siller, ubless you have a GoT type budget...but I'd still take it, silly cgi and all.

...Dragonlance musical... o_o That's right, I think I remember someone saying such a thing existed before and I never managed to see this, hahaha.

But yeah. If the actual acting/direction/costuming/etc. is okay I could deal with sketchy CGI. XD
