I'm surprised as hell that there's another "First" Resident Evil movie. Surprised enough that I may actually watch this one. I know that Capcom's trying to tap into the American market for a while with their recent Resident Evil offerings, so let's see how they managed on film with their current ethos.

I'm hoping it is Terry Brooks Magic Kingdom of Landover series, although I hope they tweak the protagonist a bit so he isn't a rich guy who is bored by being rich, because sympathy is limited there. Although that might help if they pitch it to Bezos and Amazon, because, you know...

Ideally I'd love Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar series, but I don't see that appealing to billionaire media moguls. I'm not sure she wants to sell the rights anyway, and there is the lingering taint of her friendship with pedophile parental abuser Marian Zimmer Bradley to contend with.

Ah, fuck it, lets just throw common sense to the winds, and say the best new fantasy series adaptation is RA Salvatore's Echoes of a Fourth Magic. That'll fuck everyone up no matter which modern tribe they subscribe to. There is something for everyone to get angry with.

I’m all in favor of mixing canons, it’s just annoying when my idea of “best” doesn’t match other peoples’.

For example, I hate the way the BBC Sherlock characterization seeped into the general fanon of Sherlock Holmes in other contexts.

Because we are all broken people here, we've all got one. Lets show some sympathies for each other.

I have been diagnosed with delayed sleep phase disorder, and a dyslexia/dyscalculia thing. Both of which really kick my ass in terms of general communications. The delayed sleep phase thing is just the worst, in a nine to five world my body is trying to do 14.00 to 22.00 living.
