It's a scheduling thing. Im not in the States, but here with the first two shots we did it by age group / risk factor. I'm a low priority, so I got mine late, so dec 29 is six months to the day of my second shot and the first day im eligible for a booster.

Ah ha.
We had tiers of eligibility, too, for the vax and the booster, but just in the last week or so, MO said 'everybody can get the booster', so that's a good thing.

I am classified as a first responder for my job, so I could have gotten it regardless, but I'm happier about it being opened up to everyone.
