I'd like a really good (meaning, not made by the US) adaptation of Cherryh's 'Rusalka' books.

Or an epic miniseris of 'The Goblin Mirror'. Or, if we're going high, high, high fantasy, the Dreamstone books.

On the sci-fi side, 'Downbelow Station' would be EPIC, if they did it right (like not sanitizing Signy).

And the last - most wished-for, most sure to be utterly fucked over by everyone....'Don't Bite the Sun/Drinking Sapphire Wine' by Tanith Lee.

I'd LOVE Downbelow Station. So long as they didn't screw it up. I love Signy as a flawed character. And Mazian, too.

Though I'd also love the Chanur series, but that might be a bit too awkward given the characters. I'd adore for them to make Cyteen, but the azi would not go down well in a modern period and there's way more focus on them in Cyteen than Downbelow Station.

Omg, Cyteen. I love those books, but the philosophy behind the Azi, and how they're 'made' gives me the fucking creeps. I've read the series several times, and it's good, but omfg. It's also just so freakin' GROSS.

If we're gonna go there - I want a six-or-eight hour Forty Thousand in Gehenna!!

Signy is pretty much my top three favorite characters in that book, and to have her cleaned up, toned down, or otherwise 'fixed' (or remade) would just suck. Mazian, too, hell yes.

Omg Cyteen is one of my most favorite book of all times and I'd love a tv show for it but... I'd 100% stay out of any fandom that might arise
