Re: What makes a NOTP?

NOTP for me is more than general dislike or lack of interest. NOTP is only something I use for ships that I really hate and hate seeing together even as a side ship or just a mention in a fic.

Sometimes I think the characters are really terrible for each other (Buffy/Xander, Doctor/any ordinary human, Reid/Morgan) , Sometimes they include an element I hate like teacher/student or incest ships (Buffy/Giles, Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan/Anakin, Thor/Loki, Tony/Peter), sometimes I hate what canon did with them (Doctor/Rose, basically every canon Harry Potter ship), sometimes the fandom pushes my general dislike into outright hate (Celebrimbor/Maeglin, Rey/Finn and Finn/Poe, Zuko/Katara, ), and sometimes it is multiple factors (Steve/Tony).
