I always feel guilty when someone in the fandom discord group recs a fic that has something in it that's an instant no for me.

I don't know why-- I never say anything negative about the fics, or do anything to shut down conversation about fics I don't like. If it's not an exchange where I'm being written for, I don't bring up/list my squicks and triggers, so I don't see any point in telling someone they recced me something I won't like when it's just one tag and 95% of the fic does sound like exactly my kind of thing and other people will still be able to enjoy the recced fic.

It's not like it's anyone's fault or a moral failing if I don't like a fic someone else loves... I just feel guilty.
