When I worked retail I loved it when customers demanded to speak to the manager. It meant my part in dealing with their dipshittery was over and they were about to be someone else's problem. Managers hated it when customers demanded to speak with them, but us floor staff loved it. We even developed our system for guiding customers into demanding it without actually saying they needed to speak to one.

I've been both a floor staff person and a manager, and I can affirm that managers hate Karens just as much, if not more. When they yell, "I'm never coming here again!" I'm like, awesome. Thank you. Don't.
