I'm gonna be honest, the trailer for the show did excite me. Not necessarily for Boba himself, though he looks cool, but for Tatooine. It looked like worldbuilding for Tatooine. Is the whole trailer set on Tatooine? And, if so, what's the city in the crater? It doesn't look like Mos Eisley or Mos Espa, both of those always looked flat. Also smaller. Are they getting a make-over, or is this a city we've never seen before? It definitely looks Tatooine in architecture and style.

If the show is fully set on Tatooine, that'd definitely be a thing. Live-action Star Wars doesn't usually dig in on a single planet and examine it. Rebels managed some for Lothal in the cartoon, but I think the only planet we've really sat on for any length of time in live action were Coruscant and Naboo in the prequels. Possibly Jedha in Rogue One, a little bit. But even then, that wasn't really about the planets themselves, but just using them as lynchpins in the wider galaxy.

And Tatooine would be such a perfect world to pick to do this with. We've seen it so many times on flying visits. It's produced or harboured so many of the big figures of galactic history. It'd be really great to actually sit down with it for a good long while and see what makes it tick.

I kinda feel like Tatooine has been examined pretty thoroughly in the live action format. Half of ANH, the long beginning of ROTJ, visited for extended periods of TPM and AOTC, and it was the focus of two episodes of the Mandalorian. Even the quasi-canon Holiday Special had a Tatooine segment.
