Re: CW/TW: Food, Eating Disorder

Mostly what makes something a disorder over a bad habit is how difficult it is to stop.

Try planning out a week's meals - make them nutritionally balanced, but reasonably tasty.

See how hard it is to stick to the plan. If it's fine, or maybe vaguely annoying because scheduling sucks, then you probably just have a bad habit. If you start getting panicky at any point, though, might want to consult an expert.

And, congrats on thinking about things before they become a big issue. I'm proud of you.

Thank you so much for replying!

I'll set up meal plans and see how it goes from there. Thank you for the tip!

Thank you, I'm in my mid30s and this is new to me. I have always simply eaten when I am hungry, and now that I'm not always hungry my relationship to food has changed and I'm like, "Is this a problem or am I just approaching it wrong?"

You're very welcome. I just hope things work out for you.

And hey, it's been a tough couple of years for everyone: it's okay to be fraying at the edges a little - pretty much everyone is in some way.

Hug?
