Who are some of your favorite androgynous characters?

The only androgynous character I can think of at the moment is Gabriel from Constantine (played by Tilda Swinton. Great choice re: casting. I'll also stand by my opinion that Constantine is Keanu Reeves' best role to date. Like... he's actually really good in it lol. But anyway, I can't think of anyone else!

Yes, Gabriel was great!

Little to no relation to its source material (and I have a personal issue with Rachel Weisz), but phenomenal character work by some cast standouts -- Tilda Swinton, Keanu Reeves, Peter Stormare.

May or may not count due to the androgyny vs outright genderbending context of their character but I have a soft spot for Joker ala Marginal City.

Tolkien's male elves are both beautiful and action heroes. Some of the ones that seem the most androgynous and that I really love are Finrod and Glorfindel.

I enjoy the Valdemar books, and Vanyel is a favorite character for me too.

There is like zero non-fanon reason to believe Glorfindel and Finrod were androgynous.

Elves in general are at least partially androgynous. Their physical beauty is emphasized, and not the type of looks typically considered attractive for men. The term androgynous is never used, no, but the way they are described is very much what we consider androgynous.
