/shrug Abbreviations are easier. I don't really get into fandom discussions or meta, but I can totally understand why people who do would use them. Now that said, I wouldn't go nuts with them like using "YLP" for Yiling Patriarch" like another commenter mentioned, and if there's the potential for confusion I'd spell it out. But otherwise I'm pretty happy with abbreviations.
