I'm not sure if that makes Hemingway's parallels between Brett the mannish 'New Woman' and Jake the emasculated man better or worse.

On the other hand, I like imagining that the others target Cohn because of his clear affiliation with another pantheon. It's better than the reality of Hemingway's casual antisemitism and his grudge against Harold Loeb.

Repeat of what I said before, but: I actually really like Hemingway's writing (racism/sexism/antisemitism/homophobia aside). But I also totally love this idea, too. It's fucking delightful!
