I hated abridged but I will +1 you on YGO fandom in general. I think it's the only one I actually participated in with art and fic, and never had a bad experience.

the fandom hasn't aged well, though. I've found some thorough batshit in the past 2-3 years and ollied out so I don't let that taint my former good vibes.
