Who is this?

Vex'ahlia from Critical Role. Or maybe the actress who plays her, Laura Bailey. It's not clear which one OP things has bad taxes.

One of the three characters she played on the show was greedy and therefore Laura Bailey must be committing tax fraud?

That's ridiculous. Like, I know nothing about Laura Baileys taxes and sure many rich people have very shady tax returns. That is totally true and something that should be criticized, but to single out one actress on the basis of her playing a character, is pretty stupid.

I kind of assumed the OP meant the actress was greedy and haggle-happy on social media or something where fans can see that type of interaction.

I read it as the character's tax returns being shady but then I know nothing of this topic.

That would make sense--and be expected, honestly, but then she's married to the ruler of the realm, so probably wouldn't even need to file.

I personally know nothing but my roomate does; apparently it's Laura's OOC commentary on how much she haggles and tries to skirt things that is really sketch. which, if it was one character and no other, lmao yeah whatever. but if she's on record OOCly as saying that she tries to find loopholes and not pay money where it's due, that's uh. that's entirely different and kinda sketch after all.

...not...really? Haggling (in situations that accept it, obviously, not at like the grocery store) and money-saving loopholes are totally normal.

OP, you are aware of what acting is, right?

Like, my main DND character is a halfling ex-spy who's trying to be good and failing. I'm a 5 ft 7 human, not a spy, and I like to think that I don't fail at morality half as much. That's,,, kind of the point of roleplaying.

Do you mean the character or the actor OP? Because the first could be a reasonable presumption depending on story context, but the latter would make no sense unless you somehow know about her personal finances.

What does haggle-happy mean?? Also, some cultures thrive on haggling, so what may seem rude or out of place (especially in NA) is not in other places.
