Fomer Supervisor was even more of a terrible person than I thought

So, I've been given access to her work email that she had while I was here because of client information, to check on cases, and such. Well, today I was looking for information on a specific case in her old emails, and I stumbled on an email from late August, both of our second months there, where she is asking our boss to let me go at the end of the 3 month probation period so he can give her a raise.

This woman was pretending to be my friend and mentor, and all the while was telling lies to everyone about the others and orchestrating things to only her advantage. She was a master manipulator, and none of us had any idea.

Wow. I mean. "Dump this person and give the money you would have paid them to me." I'm not even going into seniority (or lack of seniority), or what option is cheaper. The fucking gall of even bringing it up as an option.

I really hope you’re looking for other places to work. Among other things, it sounds as if he’s been using you behind your back as an excuse not to raise salaries. And if your supervisor somehow jumped to “if Phil weren’t there, I’d get that money” on her own, the boss was clearly aware that there was something wrong and just sat on it until he couldn’t anymore.
