I don't believe this secret is true, but setting that aside, I hate this idea that taking anything seriously, or having reasons for your opinions, or thinking critically about source material is "pretentious". We're fans! Putting too much effort and energy into this shit is what fandom is all about! Maybe you don't care about the same things but, I mean, the most OP has said bad about the person is that she writes too much. I fail to see what's so bad about that.

I'd rather be in a fandom with the person OP is talking about than with OP, by far. Personally I like talking about ideas and interpretations, and actually taking them seriously and going in depth about them.

I think you skipped part of OP's post. They made it clear they don't like that the writer thinks she's right all the time, to the point of "browbeating people." I imagine it's annoying to have people give it a pass just because the writer is talented.

Not that I condone stealing from the writer. I'm just saying it's not as simple as you're making it out to be.

Sure, that's true. But writing a lot of words is the only example that they really give of what they mean by "browbeating people". It's possible that there's other stuff OP doesn't mention but I'm just going off what they said. OP definitely does think that writing too many words and being pretentious is a bad thing, it's at the very least a significant part of their problem with the person.
