I mean, indirectly, I guess - if the basic concept of the show was stolen, then everything else flows from that concept.

But even in JMS' account, none of the creative staff of DS9, not Berman and Piller, let alone the cast or the writing staff, actually saw his stuff. The people who he blames for stealing his pitch are the Paramount executives. And in the case of DS9, most of the stuff that people like about the show doesn't really come from the initial pitch. It comes from the cast and it comes from the places that the writing staff took the show after Berman and Piller left. So I just don't think you can say that what DS9 did from Season 3 onward is stolen.
