You are contesting the mind tricky thing? Let alone the writer's mind? Possibly, you are terribly naive. Without the complexity of the tricksy writer's mind's subconscious workings (including mysterious inspirations out of nowhere) stories would have no depth, no evolving and convoluted threads that magically sync up into a glorious and resounding climax. Have you never had that happen to you? If not, then I'm sorry. If so, you cannot claim you know where each and every inspiration comes from.

In any event, just google "the writer's mind" if you don't believe me, because yes, it *is* a very well-known phenomenon among writers.

I said it’s a new one on me. No need to be condescending about it. Although I get the feeling you enjoy being that way. And I’m no less of a writer for not hearing every adage. Nor does it make me naive, because that’s an absurd thing to say in this context. Especially because I was only contesting the “trickiness” of the authors mind only relating to forgetting where ideas come from. Because that was the only context you brought it up for. It seems like you didn’t think that through before going on your little patronizing ego-trip. Because plagiarism and not citing sources does not a good published author make. Fanfic writers can get away with it more, but only to a degree. So not remembering where whole ideas are lifted from constantly can’t be a general writer “thing”.

And yes, I’ve experienced that rush before. But I remember where all the threads lead back to. Just because it happens to some people doesn’t mean that writers are generally incapable of following their threads of inspiration back to the source. And I’m no less of a writer for that either.

I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but wow you’re insufferable.

I meant as far as entire ideas and searchable quotes comes from. You’re splitting hairs by breaking it down to the smallest details. Because everyone knows by now that nothing is truly original. Every idea has been done a thousand times, and people are just trying to put fresh spins on it. But you can be damn sure that if I can’t remember where a whole idea or quote comes from, I will look it up.

You’ve done nothing but willfully misunderstand where everyone you’ve talked to and replied to is trying to say, and attempting to use pedantry and technicalities as gotchas. While being smug and self-superior along the way.

Where did I lie? You’re completely full of shit. I’ve lied about nothing, because everything I’ve said is how I truly feel. Your willful misunderstanding and assumptions don’t make everything you disagree with a lie.
