Idk what fandom this is but I have noticed some "pan means you accept everyone including trans people and bi means you only accept binary cis people" rhetoric from the pan side of various social media I'm on, delivered usually with a kind of smug superiority. There's a weird push to associate bisexuality with a rigid anti-trans binary and therefore imply that it's exclusionary and gross, as opposed to the enlightened pan folks who only care about "hearts not parts." I don't know where this wildly inaccurate idea came from, but I don't like it at all and tbh I suspect it originates with the same identity policing, intentionally divisive trolls who have been trying so hard to push the historically inaccurate lie that queer is nothing but an evil hateful slur that needs to be abolished.

It came from radfems and right-wing trolls who want to divide and weaken the queer community. They knew it was inaccurate, their goal was to cause infighting.

DA. "Drop the B" was started by 4chan, but pan discourse started by annoying pan people predates that discourse. It's more than just internet discourse, too. There was at least one case I remember of a pansexual coming in to a bisexual focused group to try and demand people ID as pan and shame them, call them transphobic, etc.

Some Pan people are like...the annoying sanctimonious vegans of the LGBT+ community and will even lecture gay/lesbians for not being Pan and demand they become Pan too. (I am not saying all Pans are like this at all. Just some of them are and it was never all radfems/4chans trolling.)
