honestly people should consider them synonyms, kill the author, and let it go until it shows up in text, but that's not what fandom is going to do, when it's about a fan's personal construction of a character. at least it's not the Willow debate!

to put myself out there: none of these definitions can be rigidly separated from each other when they are wholly dependent on time, culture, and context, notoriously fluid concepts, to give them meaning, but it's wildly funny to me that we keep using latin and greek prefixes and there's a deep well of me that wants to be a troll about that. Fuck greco-roman linguistic supremacy!
