I mean, non-specific to Journey to the West, but you probably should know that when you're bluffing your way through things you only have cliffnotes-level knowledge of, oftentimes you *are* just being humored by your listeners. People are unwilling to get confrontational over trivial things, and their unwillingness to challenge you further feeds your perception that you're actually getting away with it. Call it confidence blinders or whatever.

I don’t do this myself, so no need to bring “you” into this. I’m just saying I don’t know if it’s the situation with OP, who I specifically referred to as OP, meaning they’re a separate person. I know this might come off as defensive, but I don’t mean for it to lol. I’m just confused why I’m being implied to bluff my way through conversations now.
