For the record, Scully doesn't really do this (I actually don't think she ever does it; I could be misremembering, especially in later seasons, but it's definitely not the norm).

Oh yes. THis is something that was frustrating about Scully through most of the X-Files, and also frustrating about Alison's husband Joe on Medium. In fact. Alison's dreams were right so often that Joe saying "It was just a dream!" started to feel like gaslighting.

Agreed! There are some great stand alones (like homers mom) but the halloween and sideshow bob episodes are my favourites.

I'm not a big Simpsons fan, but agree. I won't say that no other episodes are good, just that these are certified to be fun.
