This relationship was so much bullshit. Both characters individually are fantastic and their friendship dynamic is A+, and you take all that and piss it away on a shoehorned-in romantic relationship. It feels like another case of a man's unrequited love being rewarded with reciprocation (yes Odo is a genderless shapeshifter but in terms of how we see him in the show, he's a dude) and their "friends to lovers" arc is just super awkward and clunky.
